    11. How we protect your personal data

We have put appropriate technical and organisational measures in place to protect personal data from being accidentally lost, used, accessed, altered or disclosed without authorisation. These include SSL encryption on our website, access controls, multi-factor authentication where available, and regular software updates.

Access to personal data is limited to people who need it to do their work and who are bound by a duty of confidentiality. When clients give us access to their accounts, we use only the access we need and remove it when our work ends.

We have procedures in place to deal with any suspected personal data breach. Where the law requires it, we will notify the Information Commissioner’s Office within 72 hours of becoming aware of a breach, and we will tell you without undue delay if a breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms.

    • Right to erasure: to ask us to delete your personal data in certain circumstances.
    • Right to restrict processing: to ask us to limit how we use your personal data in certain circumstances.
    • Right to object: to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to object at any time to direct marketing.
    • Right to data portability: to receive the personal data you gave us in a structured, commonly used format, or to ask us to transfer it to another organisation, where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means.
    • Right to withdraw consent: where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect any processing carried out before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these rights, please email info@techprivy.com. You will not usually need to pay a fee. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we respond, to make sure personal data is not disclosed to anyone who has no right to receive it.

We will acknowledge your request within 5 working days and aim to respond in full as quickly as possible, and in any event within one month of receiving it. If your request is complex, or you have made several requests, the law allows us to extend this period by up to two further months. If this happens, we will tell you within the first month and explain why.

    13. Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
